The Legacy of Academy of Art

Academy of Art is a university dedicated to art, fashion, media, and photography. The school is close to being a hundred years, since opening back in 1929. The school is the largest private school in the United States. The school specializes in helping students master a certain craft. The majors and courses are taught by professionals who in turn teaches students to act in a professional manner.

The instructors will help the students look at their work from a critical perspective. The professionals will teach students to gain the skills to work out in the creative field. The school accepts all admissions from anyone around the world. The school knows that the potential of students is to look towards their future. The school is the best place for young creative minds.

The Academy of Art has its own sports team who was the first to win at the National Championship in track and field. The school gained this achievement during its first year of eligibility. The Academy of Art was also the first school in history to showcase students works at New York City’s fashion week.

The future of fashion is following the Art Academy as it runs its 21st runway sho. This runway show is allowing new faces and names to come to the limelight. The fashion showcase was held back on September 9, 2017. The location of the runway show at Skylight Clarkson Square. The show debuted ten graduates clothing for men and women. Two of which were made together by each of the graduates. The Executive Director of Academy of Art expressed that the student’s spirit was put into each collect but executed properly as a team. The diversity of students during the show was expressed through the different styles, silhouettes and craftsmanship done during this project. The collection from the students impressed audience members including Ms. J Alexander and Sara Kozlowski. That year show presented the future of fashion through the graduate’s hard work. The director, Jayne Foster, spoke about how these graduates will inspire the next generation of creative students.
